Jim began his career in the financial services industry in 1984 with a national brokerage firm. In 1999 he founded Adams & Associates, a Registered Investment Advisory Firm.

Jim is a practicing financial planner with more than 20 years of broad-based experience in financial planning for high net worth clients on investments, retirement, insurance, taxes and estate planning. He also serves as a member of the firm's Investment Committee, which is responsible for researching, monitoring, and recommending equity, fixed-income, and alternative investments for clients.

He holds the designations of Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Financial Consultant, and Chartered Life Underwriter. Jim is a current member of the Financial Planning Association and is a well-known and respected speaker on a wide range of financial subjects. Jim addresses local audiences on radio station WEEU where he helps listeners understand the financial planning process.

Angelo LaVentura
Financial Advisor

Angelo became affiliated with Adams & Associates in October 2000 after working with a national securities firm. He assists clients in achieving their financial goals through the financial planning process, specializing in retirement and estate planning. Currently, Angelo is working toward the Certified Financial Planner certification.

He graduated and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from DeSales University. His areas of study centered on business and psychology.

Gary Dietrich, CCPS

Gary joined Adams & Associates in June 2002, with 24 years of analytical laboratory experience. He holds the designation of Certified College Planning Specialist. As one of only 500 Certified College Planning Specialists in the United States, he specializes in college tuition planning. Additionally, he works with small business owners.

Karen L. Byerly

Karen joined Adams & Associates in July, 2004. She helps clients with insurance needs as it pertains to each stage of life, works with business owners in establishing group retirement plans, and assists local school districts to set up 403(b) retirement plans.
